How do I get started?

Develop the idea of your future project

Maybe you already have an idea of the activities you want to carry out with your students, maybe you already know the theme of your project or maybe this is the first time you are involved in a European partnership. In any of the above cases, start with a short and simple project.  A successful project does not have to be complex or ambitious.  Start with something that will motivate your students upon completion, rather than something particularly ambitious that is likely to disappoint them if not completed.  Feel free to ask your students for their opinions and ideas about working with another school abroad.

Useful tips:

Make sure that the topic of your collaboration falls within the curriculum, the syllabus and the National and European Framework for the development of your students’ competences. In this way, the eTwinning project you implement will not be an activity that requires extra time from you and your pupils, but part of your pupils’ teaching and assessment.

Regardless of the topic you have chosen and the extent to which you have developed your ideas, keep in mind that the topic or activities are always negotiated with your partner. For this reason, remain open to suggestions from other colleagues.
