European eTwinning Workshops<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

European eTwinning Workshops are organised by the National Support Organisations (NSOs) and the Central Support Service (CSS) based on specific disciplines, themes or age groups. The main objective of the workshops is to provide teachers with professional training and further training in ICT, eTwinning collaborative learning and other topics.<\/p>

For participation in European Workshops, the National Agency gives priority to people who have experience in eTwinning but have not participated in an eTwinning activity abroad and\/or have not received a grant to participate in Contact Workshops (TCAs) under the Erasmus+ programme <\/strong>abroad.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The National Agencies, in an effort to provide as many professional development opportunities as possible to the teachers participating in the action, organise Contact Seminars to find partners. These seminars give teachers the opportunity to be trained in eTwinning and other tools, to learn how to organise a collaborative project and, most importantly, to meet and establish partnerships with colleagues from other countries.<\/p>

For participation in Contact Seminars, the National Agency gives priority to people who are new to eTwinning and have not previously participated in an eTwinning activity abroad and\/or have not received a grant for participation in a Contact Seminar (TCA) under the Erasmus+ programme abroad<\/strong><\/p>

Applications are submitted online following an invitation from the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes. During the school year there are usually two Calls (September Call and January Call).<\/p>

Selection criteria for <\/strong>candidates\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>

  1. Applicants must have completed their registration on the eTwinning platform: https:\/\/school-education.ec.europa.eu\/en<\/a><\/li>
  2. Candidates must be teaching at the level of education and in the specific subject area covered by the European Workshop (where applicable).<\/li>
  3. Very good knowledge of the language in which the European Workshop will be held.<\/li>
  4. Very good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet applications (information search, email).<\/li>
  5. Priority is given to people who have not previously been awarded a grant to participate in an eTwinning activity abroad or to participate in TCAs Contact Seminars abroad.<\/li>
  6. Priority is given to schools that have not previously participated in the eTwinning Action.<\/li>
  7. For the European Workshops, priority is given to teachers who have been involved or are involved in an eTwinning project.<\/li>
  8. For Contact Seminars, priority will be given to teachers who have not been involved or are not involved in an eTwinning project at the time of application.<\/li>
  9. The province\/grade in which the candidates are employed will be taken into account, so that there is a balanced representation of all provinces\/grades within each call.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    The participation fees of the Workshop are paid by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes directly to the organisers. The participation fees include accommodation and food costs for the days during which the educational activity takes place.<\/p>

    Living allowance for an extra day in case it is necessary for the candidate to travel to or return from the workshop venue one day earlier or later.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Travel expenses<\/strong><\/p>

    This category of expenses includes both air ticket purchase costs and travel costs to and from the airports in Cyprus and the destination country.<\/p>

    Travel expenses are calculated on the basis of the kilometric distance from the city of the sending organisation to the city where the seminar\/workshop will take place. The distance is calculated using the EU Distance <\/a>Calculator<\/a> tool. Each range of kilometric distance corresponds to a specific unit cost, as shown in the table below.
